Game 7/162, Red Sox Beat the Yankees and Win in their Home Opener

In the home opener for the Red Sox, they found their first win, raising their record to 1-6 to start the season. Despite Lackey's weak pitching, the Red Sox's batting held up and help get the W. Pedroia hit a homer and then a two run single to begin the game. A few innings late, Salty hit a double to left to give the Sox the lead. Later on, JD Drew hit a two run single to lengthen the Red Sox's lead. Then Papelbon had a good ninth striking out 2 batters.
