Game 6/162, Red Sox Lose 6th Game, Very Poor Offensively

Tough day for Boston as the Sox lose their sixth straight game to begin the season. The Red Sox did very poorly offensively not scoring a single run in the whole game. But, the pitching wasn't bad as lester pitched seven innings with 9 strikeouts and no runs. In the top of the eight, Pedroia hit a soft ground ball to the pitcher with runners on 2nd and 3rd to end the inning. In the next half inning, Orlando Cabrera had a sacrifice squeeze which gave the Indians the lead. In the top of the ninth, just when the Sox started to rally, Darnell McDonald fell over while stepping past second and was tagged to end the game.
